Legitimate Opportunities

According to a recent Multi-Sponsor Surveys’ 2009 Economic Impact Market Segmentation Study, 49% of working adults are worried about losing their jobs, while 32% admitted to "significant" financial troubles. That same survey states that 60% of adults are considering starting a business from home due to the economic downturn.

Many people think that because they have an original idea, it is sure to be a money maker... that's not always true. Just because you think your idea for a business is a "great idea" doesn't mean that there is a need for it.

I'm not here to tell you that an original idea cannot make money, that would be ludicrous. But if you don't have your own unique idea, choose a product or service you believe in and put your own unique twist into your marketing.
Really what you are marketing is you.

I see so many people out there saying that this company and that one are "scams" because they didn't make any money when they signed up as an affiliate or a distributor...

When the reality is: they are not marketing the business, or putting any effort into the success of their own home business! They are expecting that once they sign the application, they are going to start getting checks. I have had people tell me that some guru is going to be "putting people downline who are going to build the business for them."

Let me tell you: I will never promise to build your business for you. If anyone else tells you that you are going to get rich because of "spillover" they are lying.

The two most important questions
when evaluating work from home ideas:


1. Does your product or service satisfy a need?
2. Are people willing to pay to satisfy that need?

If the answer to these two questions is a resounding "YES!" --you have yourself a legitimate opportunity. The next question is:

Are you willing to do what it takes to make the idea a real, profitable business?
