The Guerilla techniques that I commonly use include postcard marketing, distributing 3-fold brochures, pinning up flyers with tear-off phone number and email address tabs, and of course I create business cards to distribute to people that I come in contact with. I also use drop cards which are basically business cards with a concise marketing message. These are the techniques that I use offline.
Online guerilla marketing strategies that I use include creating splash pages. I write these myself and host them with Lizard Hosting. It is really a great deal because it only costs $1 a month for each site or you can host 3 for $2.50 a month and for more sites there is even more discounts. They also have a wysiwyg editor and cpanel that is very easy to use and understand.
The Basics of Guerilla Marketing
The whole concept is to use tactics for marketing that are inexpensive or free to get the word out about your business and to develop leads. The tactics concentrate more on time, energy and imagination that it does on money. Making use of such marketing techniques is common sense for a small business that does not have an extreme marketing budget.You can even hire teenagers to post your flyers and to pass out your brochures for next to nothing. Places with lots of traffic, like a football game or a carnival, are perfect for handing out flyers and business cards if there are no "no solicitation" signs.
